Job Description / Descripción del trabajo

PCI is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for its San Diego Marine  operations based in San Diego, CA. This individual will oversee and participate in the prefabrication of insulation materials for marine applications.   

 

  • Supervise production crew to prefabricate insulation.
  • Run production in accordance with the processes they develop and document.
  • Complete and track safety, production, and inspection documentations.
  • Responsible for the availability of equipment by performing routine maintenance.
  • Oversee and participate in the packaging of finished goods for storage and transportation from PCI's warehouse and/or jobsite. 
  • Participate in production activities including but not limited to cutting insulation, applying adhesive, and adhering facing material.

 

Pay range: $30-35 an hour.

 

This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements / Requisitos

Basic Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • At least 2 years in production environment preferably manufacturing

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • General knowledge of trade tools, equipment and materials used in the construction industry
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and processes

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Marine Construction
  • Recent experience operating a forklift
  • Experience with Insulation scopes.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
